What to know about Wisconsin football transfer portal pickup Liam Danitz from Hope College

Wisconsin football has secured its 28th commitment of the current transfer portal cycle with the addition of outside linebacker Liam Danitz from Division III Hope College. Danitz is the first commitment in this cycle not originating from a Division I program. Known for successfully transitioning players from lower divisions, Wisconsin previously added cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean from Division II Grand Valley State in 2023 and safety Matt Jung from Division III Bethel.

Danitz, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 227 pounds, earned first-team All-American honors from the American Football Coaches Association.
