Who’s next at Cal? Tosh Lupoi, DeSean Jackson and more candidates to replace Justin Wilcox

Cal has dismissed head football coach Justin Wilcox following a 31-10 defeat to Stanford, leaving the team with a 6-5 record. Nick Rolovich, previously a senior offensive analyst at Cal, will serve as interim coach. Rolovich, a Bay Area native, was formerly the head coach at Washington State and Hawaii.

Several candidates with ties to the region are being considered to fill the vacancy. Notable among them is Oregon defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, a former Cal player and staff member known for his recruiting prowess. UC Davis coach Tim Plough, with previous coaching experience at Cal, is also in the mix.
