Wisconsin football lands DIII transfer edge rusher

Wisconsin football has secured a commitment from Hope College transfer edge rusher Liam Danitz. Danitz, a seasoned defender from West Branch, Michigan, entered the transfer portal on January 8 after four years at Hope College. Throughout his time there, he accumulated 98 total tackles, including 39.5 for loss, and 27 sacks over 31 games. In his standout senior year in 2025, he recorded 46 tackles, 21 for loss, and 15 sacks. Danitz, a three-star transfer according to 247Sports, joins the Badgers with one year of eligibility left. He is Wisconsin's 28th commitment in the 2026 transfer cycle, contributing to a class ranked 19th nationally by On3.
