Georgia transfer DB, former 5-star commits to Ole Miss

Georgia Bulldogs transfer cornerback Joenel Aguero has committed to the Ole Miss Rebels. Aguero, who became a starter for Georgia in 2024, accumulated 72 tackles, three pass deflections, and one interception over three seasons. He missed the SEC Championship and Sugar Bowl due to a hand injury, prompting his transfer after Rasean Dinkins' strong performance in his absence. Ole Miss, active in the transfer portal, also added Florida State's Edwin Joseph and Florida's Sharif Denson to their secondary. Georgia has seen five defensive backs enter the transfer portal but has reinforced its roster with transfers such as Eastern Carolina's Ja'Marley Riddle, USC's Brayden Conley, and Clemson's Khalil Barnes.
