Jarrett Stidham will try to join Frank Reich as only QB to get first start in postseason, and win

Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham is set to start in the AFC Championship, replacing Bo Nix, who suffered a broken ankle in the recent overtime win against the Bills. Stidham’s start is notable as he will be the second quarterback in the modern era to start a playoff game without any regular season starts and potentially win. The first was Frank Reich in 1992, who led the Bills to a comeback victory over the Oilers. Stidham, who has not thrown a pass during the 2024 or 2025 regular seasons, will be starting his first game since Week 18 of the 2023 season. The upcoming game could be against the Patriots, who drafted him in 2019, or the Houston team, the successors of the Oilers franchise.
