Niners TE George Kittle carted off field with apparent lower right leg injury vs. Eagles

Niners tight end George Kittle sustained an Achilles injury during the second quarter of Sunday's wild-card game against the Eagles and was subsequently ruled out by San Francisco. The injury occurred while Kittle was being tackled by Eagles safety Marcus Epps, causing his calf to pop upon planting his foot. Kittle was taken off the field on a cart after receiving medical attention.
