TCU Legend Inducted Into College Football Hall of Fame

Gary Patterson, a former head coach of the TCU Horned Frogs, has been named to the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame class. The announcement was made by the National Football Foundation on January 14. Patterson, who coached TCU for 21 years, is credited with transforming the program into a powerhouse. Under his leadership, TCU achieved significant success, including a 181-79 record, multiple conference titles, and a memorable Rose Bowl victory in 2010.

Patterson's tenure at TCU began as a defensive coordinator before he took over as head coach. He quickly turned the team into a dominant force, particularly during TCU's time in the Mountain West Conference, where the team won four conference titles. The Horned Frogs also excelled in the Big 12 Conference, notably winning the conference in 2014 and producing a strong season in 2017.
