The Hawkeyes, now 8-4 overall and 6-3 in the Big Ten, secured the Heroes Trophy with their 10th win in 11 meetings against Nebraska. Iowa's defense shut out Nebraska in the second half after a tight first half, during which Nebraska's Emmett Johnson rushed for 177 yards. Johnson finished with a career-high 217 yards, marking his eighth 100-yard game this season. Despite a strong start, Nebraska (7-5, 4-5) struggled in the second half, committing several errors, including a muffed punt leading to an Iowa safety. Iowa's victory is their most decisive in the series since 2017. Both teams await their bowl game announcements on December 7.
